Michael A. Ferraro, Co-founder and President

Mr. Ferraro's vision and drive have propelled Preferred Commerce since its inception. As a third generation nurseryman and with his experience in the financial services business, he conceived a business-to-business model that has made a significant impact on the horticultural industry. Plantfind® now serves as a virtually "friction-free" exchange, speeding commerce in what has been characterized as a highly fragmented industry.

Prior to the formation of Preferred Commerce, Mr. Ferraro spent 14 years as a retail stockbroker/retail manager for investment brokerage firms, affecting as much as a 20x increase in revenue over three years. Mr. Ferraro hired and trained over 100 employees during his six-year tenure. Mr. Ferraro has been recognized for his leadership of Preferred Commerce. Acknowledgments include The Arthur E. Turner Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award and participation in the MIT Enterprise Forum of South Florida Case Study.
