Mary Ann Patterson, Vice President of Communications and Marketing
Ms. Patterson has 25 years of experience in senior marketing roles, serving both the profit
and non-profit arenas. Most recently, she was founder and president of Front Burner, Inc., a
consultancy specializing in strategic planning, capital formation, and the development and
coordination of educational and workforce initiatives. Clients of the company have included
Michigan State University, Practical Protocol, the American Horticultural Society, and Shade
Tree Farm.
Prior to that, Ms. Patterson served as the Director of National Programs and Public Relations
for the American Horticultural Society. During her 10-year tenure, her large and diverse network
within the horticulture industry contributed to establishing a track record for successful media
relations and innovative marketing. This included a national product launch and the publication
of several best selling garden books with major publishing houses. Ms. Patterson entered the
workforce as a retail buyer and private label development manager for several national retail
chains.
